Constantinos Antonopoulos CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, INTRALOT S.A.
Constantinos Antonopoulos is a founding member and shareholder of INTRALOT. In 1999, he assumed his current position as Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company. He is an executive member of the Board of Directors of INTRACOM Holdings as well as a member of the Board of Hellas On Line.
He joined the company in 1993, the year the company was established, as the first General Director and member of the Board of Directors. He launched his career by joining major Greek industrial enterprises, such as the Hellenic and Eleusis Shipyards, engaged in the construction of commercial and naval vessels and railway vehicles. Following that, he held a succession of expert positions at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry, overseeing public procurements and offset benefits. In 1989 he was appointed head of the Development Programs Department of INTRACOM S.A., one of the leading telecom and electronics companies in SE Europe, where his major task was to promote the Group’s participation in European Investment Programs.
As an active member of the business community, Constantinos Antonopoulos participates in a number of chambers and associations. He is the President of the Greek – Latin American Business Council and the Hellenic-Chilean Chamber of Commerce and Culture. He was elected Vice-president of the Greek-Serbian Business Council, is a founding member of the Greek-Turkish Business Council and the Hellenic-Romanian Business Council, while being a member of the Executive Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.
Moreover, he is a member of the General Council of the Federation of Greek Industries (SEV) and participates in Foreign Affairs Executive Committee of the Federation (SEV International). He is a member of the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association and the Association of Chief Executive Officers. He was the recipient of the “Manager of the Year 2004” award as well as the “Best Innovative Manager” and the “Best Global Oriented Manager” awards of the year 2005 and “Best Manager FTSE/ASE 20” for 2006. In addition, he was included in the “Lottery industry Hall of Fame” for 2007, as one of the most distinguished professionals in the lottery industry.
Born in the city of Patras, Constantinos Antonopoulos graduated in 1976 from the National Technical University of Athens with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He continued his studies at the University of Manchester (UMIST), England and received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Systems Reliability. He is married and father of three children.
