BETTING COMPANY S.A. RECEIVES ADVERTISING EFFECTIVENESS AWARD

Betting Company’s latest advertising campaign made for “Pame Stihima”, the Greek fixed odds betting game offered by OPAP, received the 3rd place at the “Effie Hellas 2004 Awards”.

The campaign “You’ve got a game tomorrow” was awarded in the category “Commercial and No Commercial Services”, competing with nineteen other contestant products like Banking and Insurance Services, magazines and the 2004 Olympic Games Organization Committee. The campaign was and still runs in all media (TV, radio, outdoor posters, magazine and newspapers).

The concept of the campaign is to demonstrate the habits of athletes before a big game and those of a regular betting player are similar, creating thus a stronger link between sports and sport betting games.

Mr. Andreas Papoulias, General Manager of Betting Company, stated: “This award is a special reward for our commercial division, which has managed to promote the game with outstanding results since its launch four years ago. Moreover, it demonstrates that Betting Company excels in the full range of operational services for the fixed odds betting games. This valuable marketing know-how is extended to all our international customers”.

“Effie” bi-annually advertising awards are organized in many countries. The campaign’s successfulness is measured based on the combination of actions between marketing and communications that reach a measurable result. “Effie” is considered as the most significant award of the advertising industry.

In Greece, the Hellenic Association of Advertising-Communications Agencies, the Hellenic Advertisers Association, the Association of Greek Market & Opinion Research Companies and the Hellenic Institute of Marketing organize the contest.
