INTRALOT AWARDED THEIR 11th CONTRACT IN THE U.S. INTRALOT AND THE ARKANSAS SCHOLARSHIP LOTTERY TE

In just 42 days, Arkansas residents will have the ability to play Lottery games in their State thanks to a partnership between the newly organized Arkansas Lottery Commission (ALC) and INTRALOTUSA. On July 30th, the Commission issued an intent to award a seven (7) year Lottery contract, with three (3) one (1) year renewals, to INTRALOT by unanimous vote. The Legislative Oversight Committee approved the contract last Thursday.

“We have the opportunity to create a world-class Lottery for the residents of Arkansas and we’re going to build an organization that has substance, provides entertainment, but most importantly benefits education in this state. We feel INTRALOT will be a great partner to help us achieve these goals,” says ALC Director, Ernie Passailaigue. “They presented a solid plan in response to our RFP that will enable us to benefit from their cutting-edge technology, state-of-the-art equipment and professional services and build a world-class Lottery that will maximize the benefits to the scholarship program in Arkansas in a very short period of time.”

Under the terms of the contract, INTRALOT will supply approximately 3,200 microLOT+ terminals along with the related peripherals. The Retailer POS equipment will communicate with INTRALOT’s Central and Backup Sites via VSAT and Cellular 3G or 4G communications technology.  INTRALOT will also provide a complete Back Office System, including an Instant games management System. The RFP/Contract includes the following online games; 3, 4 and 5 Digit games, Powerball and/or Mega Millions, Regional Lotto games, a World Lottery game, and Monitor games.

The September 28th launch date is an aggressive one compared to the initial target of October 29th, but INTRALOT’s leadership says they are up for the challenge. “Our company has been winning new lottery contracts because of our ability to get the job done right and on time. We have been exceeding our partner’s expectations,” says INTRALOT’s USAPresident & CEO, Tom Little. “We are excited about this new partnership with the ALC because we have the personnel, advanced technology and the expertise that will enable us to launch this Lottery successfully and on time.”

“All of the work that will be put into this up and coming Lottery will be well worth it as the Commission’s biggest objective is to contribute its net proceeds to provide scholarships and grants to Arkansas citizens for in-state colleges and universities“, added Tom Little.
Constantinos Antonopoulos, INTRALOT Group CEO, says, “We are extremely pleased to have won this contract because we will be part of a team that will help the Arkansas LotteryCommittee launch a program whose main purpose is to raise funds for the education of Arkansas citizens. Our pioneering technology and our committed staff will secure an excellent operation, creating a lottery that will attract players and contribute to philanthropic causes.”
