‘LOTEKA’, the new lottery of the Dominican Republic, technologically powered by INTRALOT, launched its operation a few days ago after an official ceremony held in Santo Domingo, with the participation of many representatives from the public and private sector of the country. The start up of the lottery followed the contract that INTRALOT had signed in October 2008 with “Dominican Republic SAJAMA” (SAJAMA), that holds a license to conduct on-line numerical and instant games issued by the National Lottery of the Dominican Republic (Loteria Nacional de la Republica Dominicana).

The first transactions were successfully completed for a number of lottery games, such as MegaLineas, MegaQuiniela, MegaPale, MegaTripleta and MegaTripleta Exacta offering excitement and significant prizes to the Dominican people.

Mr. Nikos Nikolakopoulos, Managing Director of INTRALOT Latin America, stated: “After 7 months of hard work, we are presenting today to the Dominicans a state-of-the art lottery that promises to offer them exciting gaming experiences. We are proud to be part of SAJAMA’s endeavour to upgrade the gaming industry of the country and we are absolutely sure that the successful launch of LOTEKA today is just the beginning.”

Mr. Juan de los Santos, main Shareholder of SAJAMA, commented: “I want to thank INTRALOT for the confidence you placed from the outset in this project, thanks for the technological support they have given us and they have worked shoulder to shoulder with us so that we are now a reality. INTRALOT is one of the largest companies worldwide in technology and are confident in their ability to provide the best technological support.”
