INTRALOT was listed at the ‘2008 EU Industrial Research & Development Investment Scoreboard’ prepared and published by the European Commission, due to the significant capitals invested by the company in the Research and Development (R&D) field during 2007.

The ‘2008 EU Industrial Research & Development Investment Scoreboard’ revealed some important aspects of R&D investment. It is notable that the worldwide corporate R&D investment growth remains high at a percentage of 9%. All the companies included in the list increased their R&D investments on an average of 9% in 2007/8, compared to 10% in past year’s Scoreboard and 7% in the year before. Altogether, they invested €379.3 billion in the last financial year.

The Scoreboard is part of the European Commission’s monitoring activities to improve the understanding of trends in R&D investment by the private sector and the factors affecting it. The annual publication of the Scoreboard is intended to raise awareness of the importance of R&D for businesses and to encourage firms to disclose information about their R&D investments and other intangible assets.
