INTRALOT SELECTED AS GAMING VENDOR BY THE WYOMING LOTTERY CORPORATION
INTRALOT, Inc., based in Duluth, GA, the North American subsidiary of INTRALOT Group, has been selected by the Wyoming Lottery Corporation as its gaming vendor to provide systems and services for the newly-formed WyoLotto™, the State’s first entry into the Lottery business. INTRALOT will provide the start-up and on-going services, including the recruitment of Lottery retailers, the supply, installation, maintenance and support of the new lottery Central System and software platforms, terminal network and communications.
The Wyoming Lottery Corp. is a quasi-public corporation established by House Bill 77 in the 2013 legislative session and signed into law by Governor Matt Mead last July. The corporation operates as a private business and does not employ state employees or use state tax money.
The Lottery released a Request for Proposal for Lottery Operations and Services on Dec. 3, 2013. The largest three vendors in the industry submitted proposals and after a thorough review and fair scoring of each proposal, the Wyoming Lottery awarded the contract to INTRALOT, which scored the highest points.
The Wyoming Lottery and INTRALOT have already begun work on the implementation plan and will work collaboratively to have a contract signed by late April. The term of the contract is expected to be 5 years of operations with three, 5-year extension options. The Wyoming Lottery is expected to go live later this year with two draw games: Powerball® and Mega Millions®.
INTRALOT Inc. President and CEO, Mr. Tom Little, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been selected as the Lottery’s gaming partner and are excited to work closely with them to get the games off the ground in a secure and socially responsible manner, to set the stage for future growth, and to maximize long-term sales and returns for its beneficiaries”.
Mr. Jon Clontz, CEO of the Wyoming Lottery, stated that the Wyoming Lottery was impressed with INTRALOT’s customer focus and how that would come to bear in pushing the state’s lottery live. “INTRALOT will provide quality systems and user-friendly terminals that make lottery products easy to sell,” Clontz said.
Mr. Ioannis Pantoleon, Group Chief Operating Officer, added “Since beginning operations in 2002, INTRALOT USA has won 14 contracts in the highly competitive U.S. marketplace, including the last 2 U.S. Lotteries that have started new operations; the previous one being the highly-successful Arkansas Scholarship Lottery in 2009. We are pleased to announce our new contract in Wyoming.
