INTRALOT Group announces that following an international tender, its subsidiary, INTRALOT do Brasil, undertook the operation of lottery games in the State of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The contract will have an initial term of six (6) years with an option to extend it for six (6) more years.
The first product to be launched by INTRALOT will be a fast Keno type game, though additional numerical games will follow in an online network of 2,500 points of sale. The entire network will be established in the State within a period of two (2) years from the start-up of the project. The gaming portfolio is expected to expand further in the course of the operations. INTRALOT will have the complete operation of the project, including all the related services and will utilize the existing infrastructure it has already established in the country.
Minas Gerais is one of the 26 states of Brazil, with the second largest population of 20 million inhabitants, the second richest, and the fourth largest by area in the federation. Its share of the Brazilian economy is nearly 9%, while its GDP per capita reaches approximately $4,500.
The Managing Director of the State Lottery of Minas Gerais, Mr. Ernani Campos Porto, stated: “We are very pleased to start this cooperation with INTRALOT to offer to the citizens of Minas Gerais a new portfolio of lottery games. Through this cooperation we will be able to offer exciting games and raise funding for the benefit of the State and its people.”
