Opened at the “Galeria de Cristal” of the National Library of Chile, on November 15, “Games and Gaming in Greek Antiquity” exhibition explores the evolution of Greek games from 1500BC to 1500AD.

The opening speech was given by his Excellency the Ambassador of Greece in Chile, Mr. Charis Dimitriou who pointed out the significance of cooperation between public institutions and private companies, like INTRALOT, and continued “We strongly believe that this exhibition should be used in the future as a research model for the study of games history in the pre-Spanish and colonial era in Chile”.

Ms BUDNIK, director of the National Library of Chile, stated : “The objective of this exhibition, inspired by Mr. Ch. Lazos’ book, is the presentation of games and the proof that they are not a modern invention, but a tradition stemming from antiquity. On this occasion, I would like to thank INTRALOT for their active support in setting up this exhibition”.

Tiberiu Grigorescu, General Manager of INTRALOT de Chile, in his speech, stated: “This exhibition, which we at INTRALOT are proud to have sponsored, offers valuable insights to our past, helping us better understand the present and prepare for the future.”
