INTRALOT Iberia, the subsidiary of INTRALOT S.A. in Spain, has been awarded a license to manage Sports Betting games throughout the territory of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The duration of the license is 5 years with an automatic renewal of 5 years each time. The award of the license has been a result of INTRALOT’s full compliance with all pertinent regulatory requirements and the thorough evaluation of INTRALOT’s gaming systems set up to support its local activities.

INTRALOT Iberia will be developing an expanded network of dedicated points of sale (“POS”) through which players will enjoy the opportunity to participate to its wide portfolio of Sports Betting games, branded “APUESTA OE!”. In parallel, INTRALOT Iberia will cooperate with existing game arcades, bingo halls and casinos, in order to set up a network of in house POS in their premises. The total number of POS is expected to exceed 100.

The Autonomous Community of Madrid has decided to open its betting market in the beginning of 2007 and as is the case with the other 16 autonomous communities of Spain, is fully in charge of regulating the Sport Betting activities within its territory.

The Community of Madrid, with a population of approximately 6 million people is one of the largest in Spain and has demonstrated an impressive performance in gaming during the last years. More precisely, according to the Spanish Ministry of Interior Gaming Report of 2006, the Spanish gaming market turnover reached €28,8 billion in 2006, while the inhabitants of the Community of Madrid in particular spend an average of €239 per year in gaming.
