On Tuesday 14th February 2006 at Hilton Hotel in Athens, INTRALOT successfully presented and demonstrated the new family of entertainment solutions: «GameWareX». The event was attended mainly, by representatives of press and financial institutions.

INTRALOT presented a wide array of innovative solutions which promise the modernization of the infrastructure of lottery organizations as well as the best utilization of the new business era’s technology applications (Internet, broadband access, telecommunications) in order to increase their competitiveness and seize the opportunities which will emerge from the forthcoming convergence of gaming with entertainment.

The opening speech was given by INTRALOT’s CEO, Mr. Constantinos Antonopoulos. Talking about the future and the challenges the lottery industry faces, he stated “Technological advancements in computing, networking and telecommunications and the upcoming convergence of gaming and entertainment, lead to the development of new, challenging games and interactive distribution models. Convergence will eventually create a new industry – Entergaming”. He also talked about Lotteries’ need to invest in new technologies and content, in order to attract and capture new players.

Finally, Mr. Constantinos Antonopoulos said about INTRALOT’s focus on digital gaming, entertainment, Entergaming: “The new industry dynamics of ‘Entergaming’ combined with our advanced technology, know-how and infrastructure, gives us a competitive advantage and renders us pioneers in the new emerging global market”.

INTRALOT presented the new suite of digital entertainment games “GAMETIME”, which are part of the new era of content rich games that provide fast-paced action and 3-D animation, attract new players to the lottery shops and give existing traditional players alternative “fresh” games that keeps them playing more often, since the themes of GAMETIME games themes are endless. This suite includes games that can be characterized as social games and except for lottery retailer shops, they are suitable for public venues such as bars and coffee shops where people can interact socially and play in a group. INTRALOT, having acknowledged early enough the trend to content rich games, has developed GAMETIME suite to embraces a wider range of players’ needs.

In the event, INTRALOT also presented “B-On”, the first innovative gaming platform enabling entertainment games, sports betting and lottery games on digital distribution channels.
