INTRALOT USA VICE PRESIDENT, JOHN PITTMAN, RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
INTRALOT USA Vice President of Marketing, John Pittman, has been awarded the 2010 Major Peter J. O’Connell Lottery Industry Lifetime Achievement Award. Created in 1993 to honor Major Peter J. O’Connell, first director of the Rhode Island Lottery, recipients of the award have distinguished themselves over a long period of time and have made important contributions in the lottery industry. The Award was presented to John Pittman at the PGRI SMART-Tech Conference in New York City.
“Major O’Connell personified integrity and dedication, attributes exemplified by the recipients of this award. Recipients are nominated and selected by their peers as a way of saying ‘thanks’ for all they have done to help our industry to grow and prosper” said Paul Jason, publisher of Public Gaming International Magazine.
John Pittman began his lottery career in 1977, when there were lotteries in just a handful of U.S. jurisdictions. After holding a series of senior positions in the lottery sector over the years, he was asked in 2002 by Tom Little, INTRALOT USA President and CEO, to join INTRALOT, where he demonstrated impressive results and was distinguished for his leadership skills.
Tom Little, congratulated John Pittman and commented: “The story of INTRALOT’s success in the United States could not be written without John Pittman. Not only is he a valued member of the senior management team, he is a friend to the industry, and honored to have served the good cause that is government-sponsored lotteries.”
